On June 10, 1967, he married Yvonne B. Rennerfeldt in Tekamah. He lived in the Tekamah/Blair area with his family his entire life.

Mr. Magill spent many years in the car business selling cars and, in the last several years, traveling around the country delivering autos for Woodhouse. He also sold promotional items for Waco Advertising for many years and was still doing so through January of this year. He and his wife also enjoyed helping out at the Cardinal Bar in Herman when his son Dan owned it.

He was a past president of the Tekamah Chamber of Commerce and was a past member of the Tekamah Lions Club. He served on the Tekamah City Council in the 1980s. He was also a member of the Tekamah Methodist Church.

He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, making the "rounds" in Tekamah, Oakland and Herman. He was a very good piano player and was often coaxed into playing at the many places he would stop. He had celebrated his 73rd birthday last month at a party with family and spent the last weekend of January at a 1st birthday party for his twin great-granddaughters.

Survivors include his mother, Evelyn Magill; his sons and families, Dan and Kathy Magill of Herman, David and Diane Magill of Germantown, Wis., Doug and Tracy Magill of Sterling, Jon and Joan Michelsen of Lincoln, and Monte Michelsen and Stu Sandler of Spring Hill, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Barb and John Jensen of Omaha; many cousins and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne, in May of 2009; and his father.
