Christine W. Lund, 79, of Blair, Nebraska, passed away.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, George; 2 daughters, Mrs. Louis (Betty) Nelson, Council Bluffs, IA; Mrs. Roy (Helen) Bauermeister, Arlington, NE; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Luise Mahn, Helene Langmaack, both of Germany.

Services 10:30am Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Blair. Burial Blair Cemetery. Prayer Service 7pm Friday at the Funeral Home.

CHRISTINE LUND, 79

Funeral Services for Christine Lund, 79, who died February 7, 1990, after apparently suffering a heart attack, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair, with Rev. Dan Ritter officiating. A prayer service will be held at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Friday, February 9. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Christine Lund was born on August 12,1910 at Rumohr U Kiel, Germany to Johann and Julianne Lau Witthinrich. She received her education in Kiel, Germany. She came to the United States in 1926 at the age of 16, moving to Fremont and later to Omaha.

On November 29, 1931, she married George Lund at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Omaha. In 1955, they moved to Kennard, Nebraska and were engaged in farming until moving to Blair in 1960.

Christine was preceded in death by one brother and one infant granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband, George; two daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Louis Nelson, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Helen and Roy Bauermeister, Arlington, Nebraska; and grandchildren, Karen Bartholomew, Vicky Hungerford, Wlm (Buck) Wehrbein, Mike Wehrbein, Brenda Groelz, Nancy Penna and Eileen Tjeerdsma; 12 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Luise Mahn and Helene Langmaack, both of Germany.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
