A family memorial service for J. Gordon Ibsen, 84, of Fremont, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Davenport Park in Fremont.

He died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Fremont Area Medical Center.

Ibsen was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Orchard. He moved to Fremont with his family and attended Fremont schools. He married Maxine Carlson June 4, 1960, in Fremont. He worked at Mead Ordinance Depot and Campbell’s Soup Co. for 21 years until his retirement.

Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Donette (Mrs. Raymond) Lacy of Longmont, Colo.; four brothers, Henry Ibsen of Blair, Claus Ibsen of Fremont, Albert Ibsen of Omaha and Pete Ibsen of Tacoma, Wash.; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials have been established to Presbyterian Church and Low Income Ministry.

Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
