Ruth Elizabeth Fletcher Bedke, age 79 of Blair died March 27, 2016 at Crowell Home in Blair. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 30th at 10:00 AM at Country Bible Church in Blair with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery.

Ruth Elizabeth Fletcher Bedke was born on May 12, 1936 in Ainsworth, Nebraska the daughter of Howard D. and Elizabeth A. (Starks) Fletcher. She graduated from Ravenna High School in 1954. On March 2, 1954 she was untied in marriage to Sam Bedke in Council Bluffs, IA. She moved to Omaha and later Blair where she raised her family. Ruth worked as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor in various places. In 2001 she retired to Blair to be closer to her family. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities, reading, politics, watching baseball, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her children, Marlene (John) Warrick, Julie (Monte) Flynn, Teri (Mark) Otte all of Blair, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Jo (Marlin) Tillman and Evelyn Speicher of Shenandoah, IA, and nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Charles and Dean Fletcher, daughter Debbie, and two sons-in-law Rich Warrick and Jim Reyzlik.

Memorials may be directed to Crowell Home, Country Bible Church or the Blair Rescue Squad.
