Mr. Leroy William Hansen died August 30th at the Blair Community Hospital at the age of 52. He had been in poor health for over 19 years and because of this was forced to give up farming about five years ago. Last November he and his family moved to Blair.

He was born August 18, 1916, to Mr. and Mrs. and Jesse Hansen. His mother preceded him in death.

He was married to Violet Evans and they were the parents of seven sons and three daughters.

Besides his wife Violet and father, Mrs. Jesse Hansen and his children LeRoy Jr., of Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan; Larry of Denver; Ann, Ronald and Roger all of Fremont; Richard, Linda, Gerald, Edwin and Sharon all of Blair. There are four brothers and four sisters: Lester of Camden, Arkansas, Earl of Duncombe, Iowa, Kenneth of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Robert of Lincoln, Mrs. Gertrude Moser of Omaha, Mrs. Elva Barry of Los Angeles, Mrs. Opal Westergaard of Arlington and Mrs. Beulah Hansen of Seattle, also one grandson.

Funeral services were held at the Orum Lutheran Church on September 3rd at 2 P.M. The Rev. Arden Dorn officiated and burial was in the Orum Cemetery. The Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were the oldest sons and Edwin, the youngest son, was honorary pallbearer.

(Another name for the Orum Cemetery is "Lincoln Cemetery.")
