SERVICES FOR LESTER HANSEN WEDNESDAY

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon, October 10, 1984, at 2:00 p.m. for Lester C. Hansen at the Campbell Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Carl F. Schattauer Jr. will conduct the service. Mrs. Clare Cowing will be the organist with Homer Nielsen as the soloist. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Lester passed away October 6, 1984, at the Omaha Methodist Hospital at the age of 84.

Pallbearers will be Avery Jaspersen, Lyle Jaspersen, Don Nielsen, Jim Nielsen, John Lorsch, and Warren Nielsen.

Lester Clarence was born September 10, 1900, at Orum, Nebraska, to Andrew and Ane Hansen. He attended Blair Schools. He was married on September 24, 1924, to Emma C. Nielsen.

They lived on a farm southeast of Blair where Lester was engaged in farming for numerous years. In 1945 they moved to Blair and Lester was then employed with the Soil Conservation service.

In 1954, Lester was transferred by the Soil Conservation Service to Schuyler, Nebraska. Upon his retirement they returned to Blair and he has been a resident of this community since that time.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and three sisters.

Surviving him are three daughters, Mrs. Rolland (Evelyn) Long, Blair, Nebraska, Mrs. Darrell (Marguerite) Thompson, Aurora, Colorado, Mrs. Allan (Mary) Biggerstaff, Mitchell, South Dakota, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
