MISS HANSEN, 57, DIED SATURDAY

FUNERAL SERVICES HELD MONDAY FOR MISS MARGARET HANSEN

Funeral services were held today (Monday) for Miss Margaret Hansen, 57 years of age, who died Saturday at Memorial Community Hospital.

The services were held at the Blair Methodist Church. The Rev. Donald Springer officiating with interment in Rosehill Cemetery, Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Miss Hansen is survived by three sisters, Charlotte Hansen and Mrs. Marie Lausen, both of Blair and Mrs. Pauline White of New York City; two brothers, Max and Ned Hansen, both of Logan, Iowa.

Miss Hansen was born October 27, 1902 at Logan, Iowa. She graduated from the Logan High School and received her degree in Home Economics at Iowa State College, Ames. She taught home economics at Logan prior to moving to Blair. She also served as Harrison County Clerk for twelve years.

Miss Hansen was a member of the WAC’s during World War II and for several years was assigned to a position in the Pentagon in Washington, D. C.

In 1949, she purchased the Young’s Café which she operated for three years and then accepted a position as dietician at Dana College, a position she held until she became ill.

She was a member of the P.E.O. Women’s Federated Club, Dana Faculty Women’s Club and the A.A.U.

Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
