MRS. HENRY HANSEN, ALSO KNOWN AS MARGARETA CLAUSEN HANSEN, DIES

One of Blair’s oldest residents, Mrs. Henry Hansen, 91, died Sunday evening at her home on No. Third St. Mrs. Hansen, also known to many as Mrs. Margareta Clausen Hansen, had been an invalid the past year.

Funeral services, the Campbell Mortuary in charge of the arrangements, were conducted at First Lutheran Church yesterday by the Rev. H. C. Jorgensen. Interment followed in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Daughter of Hans and Anna Clausen, Mrs. Hansen was born in Schleswig-Holstein Feb. 24, 1856, and as a girl was confirmed in that country as a member of the Lutheran Church.

When 18 years old she came to America, and two year later was married to Henry Hansen. The couple farmed for 43 years at Fort Calhoun, until Mr. Hansen’s death in 1919.

Mrs. Hansen’s only surviving relative is a stepson, Frank Petersen, operator of the Petersen Service Station at Third and Nebraska Sts.
