Services For Chris Wrich Held Sunday

Well-Known Farmer and Citizen Died at Age of 74

Chris Wrich, a native and life-time resident of Washington County, passed away at the Blair Hospital Thursday night of a heart attack at the age of 74 years. He was the son Of Carsten and Margaretha Wrich and was born Mar. 11, 1874, on a farm near Fort Calhoun. A few years later the family moved to the homestead, three and one-half miles southeast of Kennard.

Mr. Wrich lived on the same farm until the year 1928 when he moved to Blair where he has since resided.

He was united in marriage on November 22, 1899 to Miss Emma Kuhr. She passed away on April 17, 1916.

Four daughters survive him. They are Mary, Margaret (Mrs. Max Klotz), Dorothy and Alma, also four grandchildren Beverly, Chris, Merritt and Phyllis Klotz.

Funeral services were held Sunday, August 1st. from the Methodist church with Rev. D. D. Kennedy of the Baptist church officiating, and interment under the supervision of the Bendorf Funeral Home was made in the German Cemetery.

The pall bears were Elmer Holstein, Laverne Rahlfs, Ralph Kuhr, Walter Wrich, Lyle Japp and Virgil Wrich.
