Services for longtime area farmer Martin Paulin Martin, 72, who died December 9, 1986, will be held Thursday, December 11, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. Carol Schattauer Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Hansen was born October 6, 1914, the son of Mads P. and Paulena Hansen of Blair.

He was baptized in First Lutheran Church on November 8, 1914 and confirmed May 11, 1930.

He married Rachel Nelson on April 29, 1942, at Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Hansen was involved in church activities, as well as farming and family.

He served as President of the Pleasant View School and was a member of the First Lutheran Church and Good Shepherd Home boards for many years.

Survivors include his wife, daughters: Marcia Rae Golden of Blair, and Mrs. Doyle (Joan) Schroeder of Talmage; sons: Rodney and Douglas Hansen, both of Blair; three brothers: James, Aaron and Edward, all of Blair; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Hansen of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Mrs. Arnold (Lydia) Hansen of Ruskin; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Kempcke, Phil Kempcke, Burnell Lallman, Tom Lippincott, William Lippincott and Harold Paulsen, Jr.

Campbell Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of arrangements.
