Services for James F. Hansen, 77, who died January 22, 1987, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, at First Lutheran Church in Blair, Nebraska.

Rev. Carl Schattauer, Jr. and Rev. James McBride officiated with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Hansen was born April 19, 1909, the son of Mads P. and Paulina Hansen of Blair. He was baptized and confirmed in First Lutheran Church and married Leona Johansen on September 14, 1940, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Hansen, a lifetime farmer in the Blair area, was actively associated with church and local organizations.

These included twenty years a Sunday School superintendent at First Lutheran Church, Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, Dairy Breeders Association and Cuming City School Board.

Survivors include his wife, sons Robert of Yankton, South Dakota and Richard of Blair; two brothers, Aaron and Edward both of Blair and two sisters, Bertha Hansen of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Mrs. Arnold (Lydia) Hansen of Ruskin, Nebraska and five granddaughters.

Pallbearers were Joseph Fryman, Howard Kubie, Rodney Jensen, Gordon Kempcke, and Randy Blomker

. Honorary pallbearers were Merton Jensen, Earl Thompson, Emil Lorsch, Stanley Jensen, Elmer Johnson, George Kegler and Jim Juul.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
