James T. Hansen, 73, of Blair, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. There is no visitation.

James Thorvald Hansen was born Feb. 11, 1933, in Blair to Carl and Violet Hansen. He graduated from Blair High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He then worked for Sperry Vickers in Omaha for 25 years.

In 1960, he married Sonya Utterback in Blair. She survives him; as do four children and their spouses: Bruce and Lisa Hansen, Bryan and Amy Hansen, and Bradley and Rochelle Hansen, all of Blair, and Heather and Chad Pederson of Spokane, Wash.; seven grandchildren; a sister, Joan Ward; sister-in-law, Sandra Holoubek; mother-in-law, Eva (Binck) Utterback of Blair; and nieces, nephews and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mary Fuchs
