Funeral services for George O. Boock were held at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair on Friday, September 4, 1987, at 2 p.m.

Dr. Norman E. Schroeder of Bennington officiated. Clare Cowing was the organist. Casket bearers were William Micheel, Dale Olson, Dave Schneider, Henry Wiese, Gary Wilder and Henry Wrich.

Interment was in Prospect Hill Cemetery near Elkhorn.

George E. Boock, son of George F. and Anna (Harder) Boock, was born January 4, 1915 in Blair. He died September 1, 1987 at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital, Blair following a lingering illness, at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 28 days.

He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.

He served in the military during World War II from 1941 – 1945 in the Philippines and Australia.

He was united in marriage to Caroline Wrich January 30, 1946, in Blair. The couple spent their first nine years together working on a farm near Valley. Since then they lived at the farm home near Kennard.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, two sisters, Affie Walkefield and May Boock, and one brother, Henry Boock.

Survivors include wife Caroline; two sisters, Christina (Mrs. Roy Wilder) and Ann (Mrs. Leo Sparks) both of Blair; one brother, Otto Boock of Fremont; nieces and nephews, and other relatives.
