Services for Arlington resident John E. Hansen, 76, who died Wednesday, December 11, 1985, at Dodge County Memorial Hospital in Fremont, were Friday, December 13, in the Arlington Community Church. The Rev. Robert Saunders officiated and burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Hansen was born November 15, 1909 in West Point, the son of John and Alma Hansen. He was raised in West Point and moved to Blair in 1920. He was a resident of Arlington for the last 55 years.

He married Bernice Utterback on July 12, 1930, in Blair.

Hansen drove a truck for Ray Scheer Trucking for nine years and in 1957 he started his own trucking business. He was retired.

Survivors include his wife of Arlington; one son, Raymond, also of Arlington; one daughter, Mrs. James (Nina) Lugenbeel of Fairbury; two brothers, Harold of Fremont and Milford of St. Charles, Missouri; five sisters, Mrs. Leone Johnson of Oakland, Mrs. Helen Slatt of Fremont, Mrs. Leonard (Lois) Christensen of Blair; Mrs. Clifford (Marion) Johnson of West Point, and Mrs. Henry (Bernice) Frye of Arlington; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
