MRS. H.P. HANSEN DIED HERE MONDAY

Funeral services are being held today for Mrs. H. P. Hansen of 2242 Nebraska Street, Blair. Mrs. Hansen died Monday at the age of 94.

Karen Kristine Hansen was born April 24, 1871 at Odense, Denmark. At the age of 20 she came to American arriving in Lincoln in 1890.

On March 8, 1894 she was married to Hans Peter Hansen at Staplehurst, where they lived until 1924, at which time they moved to Blair.

They were the parents of six children. Four daughters survive: Mrs. Martha Loft of Hastings, Mrs. Dan Greeno (Marie) of Blair, Mrs. Svend Nielsen (Seena) of Oak Park, Illinois and Grace Hansen of Blair; also a son Nathaniel (Tony) Hansen of Blair. His twin brother Janick died at the age of 14 months. Six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren also survive. Her husband passed away in 1946.

Mrs. Hansen had many friends and she was greatly interested in training youth in Christian work, in Foreign Missions, knitting, crocheting and gardening.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. George Pallesen will officiate. Interment will be made in the Blair Cemetery with the Bendorf Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Ervin Larsen, Raymond Wert, Gudmond Sorensen, Norman Bansen, Bert Faltys and Robert Petersen.
