Keith W. Hansen, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 29, at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Neb.

Keith w. Hansen was born Nov. 8, 1929, in Bloomfield, Neb., to Raymond Earl and Minnie Marie Lucina (Daniel) Hansen.

He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1955 and received an honorable discharge with the Korean Service Medal.

On July 6, 1952, he married June Newton in Bloomfield. The couple was married for more than 56 years.

Mr. Hansen was a business teacher and administrator in the public school system in Nebraska and was later worked as vice president of business affairs at Dana College in Blair, from 1970 to 1991.

He enjoyed playing golf, woodcarving, hunting, and staying close with his family.

He is survived by his wife, June of Bella Vista; three children, Brad Hansen of Fremont, Carter Hansen and Keri of Charlotte, N.C., Julia and Clay Halpain of Ramstein Air Base, Germany; seven grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ramon Hansen and Donna Hansen of Carthage, N.Y., Raymond Hansen and Linda Hansen of Crossville, Tenn., and Norvin and Janet Hansen of Pender; two sisters, Peggy Christensen of Ponca, and Lael and Tim Greenlee of Gothenburg; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Gary.

Benton County Memorial Park of Rogers, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.
