SERVICES HELD ON SATURDAY FOR ROLF HANSEN

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 9, at Campbell Funeral Home for Rolf P. Hansen, 86, who died April 7, 1983, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

The Rev. Daniel Galas conducted the services. Burial was in the Wisner, Nebraska Cemetery.

Rolf P. Hansen was born in Quincy, Massachusetts, on March 26, 1897, to Einar and Gina Julsrud Hansen. He spent the first 18 years of his life in Eidsvoll, Norway, coming back to the United States when he was about 19.

He married Dorothy Rich on August 19, 1939, in Omaha. They lived on an acreage in the Nashville area in southern Washington County most of their married life. They had moved to Blair about a year ago.

He worked at Methodist Hospital during their early married years. Later they raised chickens and sold eggs and he did interior decorating.

He served in the Army during World War I from September 3, 1918, to April 7, 1919. He was a member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, Blair. A brother, Sigurd, Oslo, Norway; a foster sister, Else Gjessing, Eidsvoll, Norway; five nephews in Norway; and one niece in Germany also survive him.

Russell Coffee, Robert Hansen, Ronald Wiese, James E. Coffee and Richard Wiese were pallbearers.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
