Services for Violet Hansen, 83 of Blair who died October 15, 1991 after suffering a heart attack will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18 at First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.
Violet M. Gilliland was born June 5, 1908 at Blair to Albert and Sidney King Gilliland. She married Carl P. Hansen at Florence, Nebraska June 25, 1932.
She spent many years working at Tip Top Fabrege in Omaha before retiring.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3215 of Blair.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl in 1985; three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by one son, James (Fat) Hansen of Blair; two daughters, Mary Ann (Mrs. Gene) Fuchs of Arlington and Joan Ward of Blair; eight grandchildren, Bruce Carl Hansen, Bryan James Hansen, Bradley Keith Hansen, Heather Marie Hansen, Mark Allan Ward, Julie Ann (Mrs. Craig) Warden, Scott David Fuchs and Holly Elizabeth Fuchs; two sisters, Dorothy Bailey of Carter Lake, Iowa and Bernice Petersen of Bonesteel, South Dakota; and one brother, Charles Gilliland of California.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
