W. D. HANSEN OF UEHLING DIES

Services for William Detlev Hansen, 76, of Uehling will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Congregational Church here with the Rev. R. O. Louthan officiating. Mr. Hansen died Sunday at his home after several months’ illness. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Mr. Hansen was born March 18, 1886 in Oakland, where he attended schools. He was married September 6, 1910 in Oakland to Laura Jackson. He operated a drayline in Oakland and in 1919 started farming in the Oakland-Uehling area until retiring in 1950. He moved to Uehling where he was custodian of Uehling Schools for seven years. He played in the Oakland-Uehling band. He was a member of the Congregational Church.

Survivors include one son, William Jr. of Moville, Iowa, three daughters, Mrs. Margaret DeRyke of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Miss Audrey of North Platte and Miss Helen, at home, and four grandchildren.

Palmquist Funeral Home of Oakland is in charge of arrangements.
