Services for Lena Kuhr Osburn, age 93 of Blair, who died June 23, 1993, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair were Friday, June 25 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Lena Christina Osburn was born March 1, 1900 at Orum, Nebraska to John and Margaretha Wulf Kuhr. She grew up in the Orum neighborhood and later moved to Blair with her parents, where she attended Blair High School.

She married Earl V. Osburn in Blair March 16, 1932. They farmed near Kennard, Nebraska for 35 years.

She moved to Blair after her husband, Earl, died July 10, 1967, where she lived with her sister, Mary Holstein until her sister’s death in 1980. She continued to reside at that address in Blair until moving to Good Shepherd Home on September 18, 1992.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma (Mrs. Chris) Wrich, Anna (Mrs. Herman) Rahlfs, Mary (Mrs. Sam) Holstein, three brothers, John C.L. Kuhr, Herman Kuhr and George Kuhr Jr.

Surviving her are eight nieces, Alma Japp, Margaret Christensen, Verna Kneip, Mardelle (Mrs. Kelly) Ryan, Erma (Mrs. George) Suverkrubbe, all of Blair; Evalena (Mrs. Charles) Love of Sacramento, California, Lelah Larson of Washougal, Washington and Margaret Petersen of Kennard; five nephews, Roy Rahlfs, Merton Kuhr and Jack Kuhr, all of Blair; Harvey Kuhr of Las Altos, California and Glen Holstein of Carlsbad, California. Also surviving are two nieces-in-laws, Lola Rahlfs and Anita Johnson, both of Blair.

Memorials may go to the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum or the Blair Rescue Squad.
