Services were Monday, December 23 at St. Bernard’s Church in Omaha for Charles J. Smith, 88, who died at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

He was formerly of Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Katharine, Blair; sons, Thomas C. Smith of Beaverton, Oregon; Daniel J. Smith of Fremont and Lawrence M. Smith, Portage, Michigan; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

John A. Gentleman Westside Chapel in Omaha was in charge of arrangements.
