9 Sept., 1943 - The Enterprise Mrs. Frank Biffar Rites Saturday

Mrs. Frank Biffar died suddenly at her farm home west of Blair on Tuesday, September 3rd, as the result of a heart attack. She had not been feeling well but was not considered in a dangerous state of health.

As Nellie Wilkins, she was the oldest daughter of the Late Mr. and Mrs. William Wilkins of the Sutherland School district and was one of a family of twelve children. She was born and reared in the Sutherland School district and attended the district school.

On December 26, 1909, she was married to Frank Biffar, the ceremony being performed at the Wilkins home. The couple immediately started farming, which occupation they continued to follow. To them three boys were born, Lauren, of Newman Grove, Nebraska, and Woodrow and John who are in defense work at Santa Monica, California.

Besides the husband and the three sons, the deceased leaves four sisters, Mrs. John Biffar, Mrs. Fred Beck and Mrs. Herman Petersen, of near Blair, and Mrs. Bessie Johns, of Bremerton, Washington, and three brothers, Grover, of Arlington, and Cleon and Chauncey, of Blair.

In early life Mrs. Biffar became a member of the Christian Church and she practiced the faith she professed.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church in Blair with the minister of the local Christian Church officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery. Had the deceased lived until October, she would have reached her 63rd year.
