Services for Lydia F. Hanson, 76, of Fremont, who died Sunday, April 13, 1986, were held Wednesday, April 16, at the Christ Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Fremont. The Rev. Raymond Kimbrough of Omaha officiated and burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha.

Mrs. Hanson was born August 8, 1909, in Hooper, where she lived with her parents until she was 13 when the family moved to Omaha. She is a 1926 graduate of South High School and she attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana.

After her marriage to Merrill A. Hanson on July 14, 1935, in Blair, the couple lived in Omaha, Herman, Prague and Denver, Colorado, before moving to Fremont.

She was a member of Christ Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fremont as well as the Church’s Ladies Aid.

She taught Sunday School for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Merrill, of Fremont; one son, Charles of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; daughters Mrs. Edward (Gwendolyn) Geisler of Arvada, Colorado, and Mrs. Robert (Jeanine) Casady of Lubbock, Texas; two brothers, Alfred P. Frese and Elmer G. Frese of Bellevue; two sisters, Elsie Frese of Bellevue and Annette Frese, Westminster, Colorado; and grandchildren.

Moser Memorial Chapel of Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
