Sophie M. Henricksen, 92, of Blair, died peacefully Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sophie Marie Margaret Wrich was born Dec. 3, 1914, on a farm near Kennard. On Jan. 1, 1941, she married Walter William Henricksen. They lived and farmed southwest of Blair for many years.

After retiring from farming in the early 1970s, they moved to Blair. Mrs. Henricksen has lived at Good Shepherd Home for the past year and a half.

Mr. and Mrs. Henricksen enjoyed many years of traveling, dancing, bowling and card games.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Walter; four children and their families, Larry Henricksen of Scottsbluff; Lois and Don Lambrecht of rural Bennington; Linda and Dick Tesnow of Omaha; and Bob and Susie Henricksen of Blair; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Wrich.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter Wrich, and Melvin Wrich, who died in infancy.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
