Kenneth A. Smay, 70

Kenneth A. Smay, 70, of Blair, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, Sunday, Feb. 26 with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kenneth Austin Smay was born on Sept. 21, 1935 in Farragut, Iowa to Kenneth Wayne and Ina Mae (Bateman) Smay.

He attended school in Cook. He had lived several years in Council Bluffs, Iowa where he worked as a machinist for Arnold Tool and Die for many years.

He was residing in rural Blair at the time of his death with his wife of 30 years, Eloise (Daniels) Smay.

Mr. Smay is survived by his wife, Eloise; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Mary Smay and Kevin Smay all of Council Bluffs, Michael Smay of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bryan and Terri Smay of Drumright, Okla.; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jennifer Roberts of Blair and Randy Roberts of Malvern, Iowa, 28 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Lisa Smay, and great-granddaughter, Anna Marie.
