Olivia Marie Hare, 82, of Bolckow, Mo., formerly of Forbes, Mo., died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at her residence.

A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Breit & Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, Mo. The family will receive friends following the rosary until 8:30 p.m.

Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2000, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Savannah, Mo. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Olivia Marie Hare was born Jan. 19, 1918, to Carl L. Sr. and Catherine Marie (Wortman) Uhing, in West Point, and had resided in the West Point, Tekamah and Omaha areas, until moving to Forbes, Mo. in 1955, and had resided in Bolckow, Mo. since 1977. She attended school in West Point and received her GED and later became a licensed beautician.

On Feb. 23, 1949, she married James William Hare, in Tekamah.

She was employed during WWII with the Martin Aircraft Plant in Omaha and was a beautician for five years in Tekamah, and had engaged in farming with her late husband and sons since 1955.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and altar society; a member and served as treasure of the LaVerna Guild for several years; a member of the University of Missouri/Andrew County Extension Council; and a member of the Beeler Extension Club, all of Savannah, Mo.; a former member of the Forbes, Mo. Community Booster Club; and had formerly served with the Forbes School District Board of Education.

She is survived by two sons, Tom G. Hare of Oregon, Mo. and Robert J. Hare of the home; one daughter, Patricia L. Olson, of Blair; five brothers, Eugene, Bernard and John, all of Tekamah, and Herbert and Donald, both of Craig; two sisters, Helen Barr of Rockport, Mo. and Agnes Petersen of Blair; and four grandchildren, Holly H. Hare of St. Louis, Mo., U. S. Army Cadet James W. Hare of West Point, N. Y., and Daniel and Jill Olson, both of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Jan. 9, 1966; her parents; two brothers, Carl L. Jr. and Arthur Uhing; and a sister, Dorothy VonSeggern.
