The funeral for Timothy J. Harnett, 36 of Fremont who died December 31, 1993 at Saunders County Community Hospital in Wahoo as a result of an accident was Tuesday, January 4 at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont. Military graveside services were conducted by members of Fremont Honor Guard of the American Legion Post No. 20 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 854, both of Fremont at Memorial Cemetery.

Timothy Harnett was born July 4, 1957 in Wahoo where he grew up. He was a 1975 graduate of Wahoo High School.

He served with the United States Army from 1975 to 1980, part of the time in Korea. He then returned to Wahoo and worked for Collins Construction Co. He worked at Wahoo Sanitation and Saunders County Disposal for the past two years.

He married Tonnya Thompson, who graduated from Arlington High School, September 5, 1987 in Fremont. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Turner James of Fremont; his parents, Bonnie and Jack Dau of Wahoo and George and Lorraine Harnett of Lincoln; three brothers, Kevin and Craig, both of Wahoo and Barry of Omaha; a sister, Jan Givens of York and a grandmother, Cleo Lobeda of Ong.
