Jack Smith, 80

Jack Vernon Smith, 80, of Blair died April 28, 2016. He was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Jack worked for William Machine and Tool for many years. He served in the United States Air Force for 10 years during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore Valentine Smith and Clara Allen Smith, and sister, Margaret Thomas.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Judith Smith; daughters, Melissa (Cabot) Howell of Atlanta, GA, Paula (Joe) Kennedy of Fairbanks, AK, and Karen Medina and Fiance Erick Saner of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Adam, Elana, Cassie, EvaMarie, Hannah, Emily, Sarah, Nick and Melodie.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home in Omaha.
