Bruce K. Fink, 42, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Havre de Grace, MD.

Funeral services were Wednesday, March 2, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, MD. Additional services will be 9 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Sterling, Neb. Interment of his ashes will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Park Cemetery, located west of Elgin.

Bruce Kendall Fink was born Sept. 22, 1962, at Richland Center, Wis., to Keith L. and Kathy (Asch) Fink.

He grew up in Richland and earned his master’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and his Ph.D. from the University of Delaware. He served 10 years in the U. S. Army, and had earned the rank of captain at the time of his discharge from the service. Most recently, he was with the Civil Service and was APG as Branch Chief Material Scientist, ARL.

In 1984, he married Lorie Leigh Salomons of Sterling. She survives, as does one son, Kelly Lynn Fink, and one daughter, Kayla Marie Fink, both of Havre de Grace; father and step-mother, Keith and Mardell Fink of Blair; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Yin Lee Fink of Lincoln; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ramona Fink of Lincoln, and Lynette and Gary Schleicher of Gering; sister-in-law and husband, Julie and Myron Dorn of Adams; relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy; and brothers, Steven and William.

Huffman’s Brooks Chapel in Elgin is in charge of local arrangements.
