ORAL HARRISON VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK

RURAL MAIL CARRIER DIED IN OMAHA HOSPITAL FRIDAY

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church for Oral Harrison, 59 years of age, who died Friday in an Omaha hospital following a heart attack while visiting at the house of his son in Omaha.

Dr. Presley of Omaha officiated with interment in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, Hartha; a daughter, Lynne Harrison; a son, Oral Frank Harrison, Jr. of Omaha; a granddaughter, Carole Lynne; three sisters Mrs. Oscar Jacobsen of Fremont, Mrs. Charles Mueller of Tekamah and Mrs. Byrd Hanneman of Craig.

Mr. Harrison was born at Covell, Illinois, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harrison. His parents moved to Craig when he was nine months of age.

He has been a rural mail carrier since 1919 and September 1, 1960 would have completed 41 years as a rural mail carrier.

He is a past president of the Burt County Rural mail carriers; past chairman of the Washington County TB Association, past chairman of the Washington County American Red Cross, past president of the Washington County Pioneers and Old Settlers Associations served 10 years as a member of the Fort Calhoun Fire Department, Elder and Trustee of the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church, was active in Boy Scout work for many years and headed bond drives during World War II.

Mr. and Mrs. Harrison were married June 3, 1925 and observed their 35th wedding anniversary this past June.

The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
