Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 4 at the Herman Legion Hall, with Rev. Brian Maas, officiating for William R. Hart, 64 of Herman, Nebraska, who died February 1, 1993 of cancer. Masonic services will be held at the Legion Hall following memorial services.

Private family interment services were held in the Herman Cemetery.

William R. Hart was born November 30, 1928 at Sioux City, Iowa, to Roy and Alma Hart. He grew up on a farm northwest of Herman and graduated from Herman High School in 1946. He had been a farmer until his retirement in 1988.

He married Bonnie Gibbons February 14, 1950.

He belonged to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah. He was a Past Master of Landmark Lodge No. 222 and a past Worthy Patron of Easter Star No. 216 in Herman. He was a past High Priest of Mackey Chapter of Royal Arch Mason’s in Tekamah.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Roy and Alma Hart of Herman.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughter and son-in-law, Dawne and Tim Smith of Alliance, Nebraska; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Carla Hart, Tekamah and Kevin and Melissa Hart of Hastings, Nebraska; six granddaughters, Jennifer Smith, Tara Hart, Andrea Hart, Heidi Hart, Holly Hart and Kassandra Hart; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill Bowden of Adams, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Memorials may be directed to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
