Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 12 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont for Elmer Hartung, 94 who died December 8, 1989 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.
Elmer Hartung was born February 15, 1895 at Fontanelle to August and Elise Franke Hartung. He grew up in that area and later farmed near Fontanelle until moving into Fremont in 1962.
He married Zeta Bartling on December 12, 1928 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper. She preceded him in death on November 22, 1988.
He is survived by two daughters, Iona (Mrs. William) Norenberg and Mrs. Betty Shenshew, both of Fremont. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive him.
