Opal Finch, 89

Services for Opal Finch, 89 of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital September 16, 1992, will be 2 p.m. Friday September 18 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Herman Cemetery.

Opal B. Brown was born April 16, 1903, at Altona, Illinois to Ira and Lula Keys Brown. She attended school in Brookings County, South Dakota and received her teaching certificate from South Dakota State College at Brookings. She taught school in the South Dakota area for a number of years prior to her marriage.

On December 6, 1924, she married Roy Finch at Salem, South Dakota. They moved to Tekamah, Nebraska, in 1933; to Herman in 1942 and in 1974 Opal moved to Blair after the death of her husband in January of 1974.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Herman American Legion Auxiliary since 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Mark Finch; great-grandson Joel Finch and one brother, Irving Brown.

Surviving her in death are two sons, W. Duane Finch, Blair and Dale Finch, Casper, Wyoming; one step-daughter, Dorothy (Mrs. Henry) Wilkening, Arlington; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
