Mrs. Mary Harvey of near Spiker, passed away at the home of her son, Alfred Marsh on May 28, after an illness of two weeks. She had been in failing health for the past two years and the end was not unexpected.

Deceased was born in Flint, Michigan, Nov. 28, 1852 and came to this county in the early 80’s. Here she met and married Elias Marsh and to them one son, Alfred was born. Mr. Marsh was called to the great beyond thirty-two years ago and in 1905 she married Mr. Joe Harvey, who also passed away several years ago.

Since the death of Mr. Harvey she has made her home with her son, Alfred, and she has had every comfort that one could ask. She was a woman of high moral character, a consistent member of the Rose Hill Methodist Church and it was in this church that the funeral services were held on last Thursday, May 31 with Rev. Carl Bader officiating, and interment was made in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Besides the bereaved son, she leaves a large circle of friends in this county who will miss her greatly.
