SERVICES HELD ON TUESDAY FOR BRAD HASS

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 3, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont for Brad A. Hass, 24, who died October 31, 1981, as a result of injuries received in a car accident south of Morse Bluff during a pheasant hunting trip.

Baker had a fractured jaw and broken right wrist. A second passenger in the vehicle escaped injury.

Brad A. Hass was born October 30, 1957, in Blair. He was employed at Land-O-Lakes in Schuyler and had lived in Fremont since 1960. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 200, Fremont, and coached “Y” Football, working with third and fourth grade boys.

He married Debbie Rush at Rockport, Mississippi, in 1975.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; and one daughter, Crystal Hass, both of Fremont. His parents, LeRoy and Carol Hass and Kenneth and Iva Johnson, all of Fremont; four brothers, Todd Hass, Huntsville, Alabama; Layne Hass, Scott Johnson and Jerry Woodcock, all of Fremont; five sisters, Mrs. Darryl (Carmen) Beiermann, Miss Jodi Woodcock, both of Fremont; Mrs. Connie Gebhards, Kansas City, Missouri; Mrs. Ron (Pam) Glasscock, Geneva, Nebraska; Mrs. John (Terri) Goodwin, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and his grandparents, Mrs. Mary Hass, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Loftis, all of Arlington; and Mr. and Mrs. John Severyn, Fremont, also survive him.

Rev. Marion Loftis of Syracuse, Nebraska, conducted the services. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Hass was reportedly a passenger in a 1975 Chevy Blazer driven by David E. Baker, Jr. of Schuyler. The Blazer crossed the center lane, hit a guard rail on the left side of the road and fell 25 feet into a gully, landing on its top, according to the State Patrol reports.

Pallbearers were Rod McDowell, Paul Carson, Rick Rush, Leland Schmidt, Craig Schmidt and Gary Brescia.

Mrs. Shirley Schmidt was organist. Gene Loftis was soloist. The vocal selections were “One Day At A Time” and “How Great Thou Art.”

Memorials may be given to his daughter’s trust fund or the Boys Ranch at Alliance, Nebraska.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements for the services.
