Grandma Johanna Hass, a grand old German woman, mother of William Hass and Mrs. Ude Thaden died on the farm this morning. She was born in Germany 88 years and 10 days ago and was married to her late husband in Germany. She leaves five grown children. She had lived with her son, William, on the old John Rathmann farm for a number of years before coming to Ft. Calhoun where they lived several years, and this spring moved back to the farm, from which the funeral will be held August 18, at 2:30 p.m.
