FORT CALHOUN GIRL KILLED IN ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY

Miss Sandra Hass, 20, daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Froehlich, of Ft. Calhoun, was one of two killed in a car accident between Fremont and Omaha Wednesday afternoon at about 2:30. She was a passenger in the car driven by Ronald Gilligan of Fremont who also lost his life in the accident. Shirley Milek of Omaha was injured and taken to the Dodge County Hospital.

It is reported that the car went out of control on the icy pavement.

Miss Hass is survived by her mother, three sisters, Mrs. Lyle Shipley (Adrienne) of Omaha, Dian Hass and Betty Jane Froehlich of Calhoun, and a brother, Paul Froehlich also of Ft. Calhoun. Miss Jessie McMillan of Ft. Calhoun is her aunt.

Funeral services were held on Saturday for Miss Sandra Hass, 20 years of age, of Fort Calhoun, who was killed in a car accident Wednesday afternoon.

The services were held at St. Johns Catholic Church, Father Nolan officiating with burial in Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Miss Hass, who was born May 13, 1946 and was a graduated of Fort Calhoun High School is survived by her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Froehlich of Fort Calhoun, father, Clarence Hass of Portland, Oregon; sisters, Mrs. Adrienne Shipley, Route 6, Florence Station, Dian Hass and Betty Jane Froehlich of Fort Calhoun and a brother Paul Froehlich of Fort Calhoun.

Pallbearers were Bernard and Leo Keegan, John Suverkrubbe, Gale Maine, Lyle Shipley and H. W. “Bud” Lanonette.

The Sievers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
