Cochran, Adelia “Delia” 7/5/1902

#1-Obituary printed in the Monday, July 7, 1902 Pilot, Blair, Nebraska

Delia Cochran died of consumption at the home of her uncle, L.W. Dulany, Saturday afternoon at 5 o’clock. Miss Cochran was born in Blair, August 16, 1877, and held a continuous residence here, until last year when she went to Boulder, Colorado, by wagon, with her mother and family, and it is supposed that at about this time she contracted the fatal disease. About three weeks ago her father went to Boulder and brought her home. Thu funeral occurred yesterday at 1 o’clock with Rev. Tingley officiating. The deceased had many friends in Blair who regret her early demise and extend their sympathy to the family in their bereavement.

#2-10 July, 1902 - Blair Courier - Adelia “Delia” Cochran

About a year and a half ago Miss Delia, daughter of Mr. William T. Cochran, accompanied her mother to Colorado in the hope of benefitting their health, at which place Mrs. Cochran died some time ago, and on the 10th of June Mr. Cochran received word that Dellia was very low with consumption and on the 12th left for Boulder City to bring the unfortunate girl home. She lingered between life and death until last Saturday evening about 5 o’clock when the end came. The funeral was held the following day from the L. W. DuLaney residence, and interment made in the Blair cemetery, Rev. C. E. Tingley officiating. Deceased was an exceptionally fine young lady and besides a father, one brother and three sisters, leaves a host of friends to mourn her death. A remarkable coincidence in the death of Miss Cochran is that Miss Edna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. F. Kelly of this city, died at nearly the same time and from the same dreaded disease, consumption.
