HILDA K. LIPPINCOTT, 99

Hilda K. Lippincott, 99, of Fremont, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2009, in Fremont.

Funeral services were Thursday, Jan. 22, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Hilda Katherine Kierscht was born April 16, 1909, in Harrison County, Iowa, at Hardscratch (commonly known as Reeder’s Mills) to John C. and Hattie (Schoening) Kierscht. She attended Reeder’s Mills grade school and Logan High School.

On Feb. 8, 1928, she married Clair B. Rogers in Woodbine, Iowa. They moved to their farm north of Blair in 1937, where they farmed, raised chickens and milked cows. The couple had four children.

Her husband died in December of 1963 from liver cancer, and Mrs. Rogers continued to live on the farm until 1969, when she moved near Orum. She lived there until her marriage to Clark Lippincott on July 17, 1976, moving back into her old neighborhood.

Mrs. Lippincott belonged to the Bench Club and Riverview Grange. She loved genealogy, baking, and enjoying her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her husband, Clark, died in December of 1981, and she continued living north of Blair until May of 1998, when she moved into Arlington. In October of 2004, she moved into Edgewood Vista in Fremont.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Ethel Rogers of Cedar Bluffs; daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Melvin Gieselmann of Arlington; grandchildren and their families, Jennifer Rogers of Cedar Bluffs, Rodney and Renae Rogers of Fremont, Ken and Diane Woodcliff of Diane Woodcliff and Vaughn, Lorna and Londo Auch of Bennington, Larry and Jane of Arlington, Lynn and Kris of Wichita, Kan., Lane and Pat of Blair, Marty Gieselmann of Arlington, Gary and Tammi of Blair; great-grandchildren: Brock Rogers, Adrienne Larsen, Darren Rogers, Amy Sund, Mindy Gieselmann, Jared Rogers, Andrew Auck, Kyle Rogers, Amber Gieselmann, Kelsey Rogers, Claire Rogers, Keegan Rogers, Devan Gieselmann, Kelsie Rogers; great-great-grandchild, Madisen Anne Larsen. She is also survived by her stepchildren and their families, Ginny and John Beck, Pat and Warren “Bud” Hunsche, tom and Janice Lippincott, and Bill and Elna Lippincott, all of Blair, and their grandchildren; brother-in-law, Don and Henrietta Lippincott, and sister-in-law, Ruth Lippincott, all of Blair.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd and Loran Rogers; sister, Wilma (Ardo) Koenig; daughter-in-law, Ina Deane Rogers; brother-in-law, Dick Lippincott; sisters-in-law, Viva (Lyle) Guyer and Ruth Lippincott.

Services 10:30am Thursday at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation starting at 12pm Wednesday with family receiving friends from 6-8pm. Memorials are suggested to Edgewood Vista Care Center in Fremont.
