Lori A. (Valasek) Moore, of Lincoln passed away on May 21, 2016. The loving and caring daughter of Verden “Ray” and Betty Valasek, Lori was born in Anderson, IN, on February 12, 1963.

Lori is survived by her husband, Joel “Joe”; her parents; a brother in Arizona; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nephews; one great-niece; many friends; and extended family members. Lori and Joe provided a loving home for her nephew, Jordan, from the sixth grade forward.

Lori graduated from Lincoln East High, attended Midland College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She loved flowers, helping others, traveling, scrapbooking, water skiing, car races, cats and shopping. She always seemed to find the perfect gift for someone’s special day.

Lori had a kidney transplant and was very grateful for her local special donor after nearly four years of home dialysis with fantastic help from Joe and Jordan. She was employed by the State of Nebraska 27 years, with NEMA initially and later with the Nebraska Environmental Trust. During her tenure with NEMA, she was made an Admiral in the Great Navy of The State of Nebraska. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial service (casual dress) is at 11:00 am Friday, June 10th at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 1015 Lancaster Lane (office address). Enter the sanctuary parking lot off East Avon Lane north of Vine Street (would be about 75th and Vine Street) with Pastor Kim Osborn officiating. Memorials to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church or Nebraska Environmental Trust. Cremation committal at a later date.
