Christine M. Gross

Graveside services for Christine M. Gross, 1749 N. C Street, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Gross died Thursday, June 16, 1988 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County’s Skilled Care Center. She was a retired teacher.

She was born April 30, 1904 in Palmer. She attended Dist. No. 19 Gage Valley School and graduated from St. Paul High School. She also attended Kearney State College and Peru State College. She taught school in Howard County. Mrs. Gross moved to Fremont in 1930.

Mrs. Gross belonged to First United Methodist Church, Jessie Benton Fremont Chapter of the Izaak Walton League, Good Housekeeping Club, Retired Teachers, The Upper Room Sunday School Class, Prairie Hills Girl Scout Council and Woodmen of the World.

Christine Moravec married Louis Gross May 28, 1930 in Fremont. He died July 7, 1977.

The Rev. Ella Powell will officiate Monday’s service. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Sunday at Lattin-Dugan-Chambers Funeral Home.

Memorials have been established to the American Diabetes Association.
