Arthur N. Hultquist, 88

Funeral services were Monday, August 20, at the Herman Baptist Church in Herman for Arthur N. Hultquist, 88, of Herman, who died August 18, 1990 at Good Shepherd Home in Blair. Rev. Larry Orvis officiated. Burial was in Westside Cemetery in Oakland, Nebraska.

Arthur N. Hultquist was born March 5, 1902 in Oakland, Nebraska to John P. and Hannah Johnson Hultquist. He married Elsie Brummond in Blair December 8, 1967. They lived in the Herman area for many years.

He enjoyed farming in his earlier years. He was involved in cornhusking contests and won first place for Burt County.

After retiring, his interests included fishing, carpentry work and lawn care.

He is survived by his wife, Elsie of Herman; two step-sons, Raymond Hultquist of Omaha and Gary Brummond of Tekamah; two step-daughters, Beverly Triplett of Omaha and Connie Bowland of Tekamah; one step-daughter-in-law, Carol Brummond of Herman; two brothers, Sherman and Carl, both of Oakland; one sister, Rose DaVee of San Clemente, California; several step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Eugene Husk was organist. Jacque Orvis was soloist.

Casket bearers were Bill Hultquist, Thomas Hultquist, Harold Hultquist, Todd Hultquist, Mervin Hultquist and Michael Hultquist. Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah was in charge of arrangements.
