Services were held at 2 p.m. May 5 at Fort Calhoun Baptist Church. Burial was at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery, with Sievers Sprick Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Todd David Humphrey was born April 18, 1968 to David and Dixie (Burns) Humphrey in Blair, Nebraska. He grew up in Fort Calhoun, where he attended school, graduating in 1987.

He attended college, majoring in Telecommunications Business Management, and was just three courses away from graduating when he had to drop out due to health reasons. His hobbies included a love of baseball, ham radio, computers, wood carving, knife collecting, reading, and his dog, Regis. He loved Civil War history.

Todd was a member of the Fort Calhoun Jaycees, American Radio Relay League, and co-led a weekly Bible study for young men in his home.

Todd will be remembered for his strong love for Jesus, and his kind and giving heart. His love and concern for his family and friends always came first. His great sense of humor, and determination to chase his dreams never left time to complain about himself, despite his limitations.

Survivors include his parents, his brother, Troy Humphrey of Fort Calhoun, grandfather Robert Burns of Fort Calhoun, a niece, Caitlin Humphrey, three uncles and many other relatives, and a large circle of friends.
