Howard K. Loftis, 71

Funeral Services for Howard Loftis, 71, of Blair, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2001 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Interment will be in the Orum Cemetery. Mr. Loftis died Friday, Nov. 16, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Howard K. Loftis was born Nov. 18, 1929 in Washington County to Freeman and Eulalia (Montgomery) Loftis.

He attended school in Tekamah, and graduated from Blair High School. He farmed in the Blair area until moving to Blair in 1984, where he owned and operated a tree, lawn and snow removal business.

On November 19, 1950, he married Lela Madsen in Blair. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lela, daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Jim Grabbe of Herman, daughter, Sandy Cole of Gastonia, N.C., six grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Bev Loftis of Pahrump, Nev., sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Ryder of Omaha, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Marian Madsen, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Katherine and Charles Clark.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
