Marie P. Lynch, 80, of Blair died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at Crowell Memorial Home.

Private family graveside services were planned at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.

A rosary service was planned at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Funeral Home in Omaha.

Marie P. Lynch was born July 16, 1918, at Watertown, S.D., to John and Winifred (Whelan) Lynch. She attended school in Watertown until her family moved to Omaha in 1936. She graduated from Central High School.

She remained in Omaha until 1963 when she moved to Bainbridge, Md., where she was the assistant head of the Officer and Enlisted Services Division at the Naval Reserve Manpower Center, Bainbridge Naval Training Center.

She retired in 1977 after more than 30 years of federal service. She returned to Omaha in 1977 and lived there until moving to the Crowell Home in Blair in 1996.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Norma Lynch of Blair; four nieces, Molly Bentley and husband, Ted, of Fort Calhoun and Nancy Henderson and husband, George, of Aladdin, Wyo., Trish Lynch and Kathy Lynch, both of Omaha; one nephew, John Lynch and wife, Jackie, of Omaha; great-nieces, Heidi Livermore and husband, Mike, Jennifer Tunender, Heather Tunender and husband, Jim Brill, Shannon Lynch and Kelly Lynch; great-nephew, Corey Lynch; great-great-nephew, Andrew Livermore.

Memorials are suggested to Crowell Memorial Home Foundation.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
