Lyle M. David, 91, of Fort Calhoun, died March 13, 2011, in Omaha.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 18, at the Salvation Army Citadel, 923 N. 38th Street, in Omaha. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Lyle M. David was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Blair.

He was a longtime member of The Order of Odd Fellows, and was affiliated with the Baptist Church and the Salvation Army most of his life.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ethel and Doug Pike; grandchildren and spouses, Kim and Fred Pope, Kevin and Veronica Pike, and Christine and Pete Hoskin; five great-grandchildren, Megan and Emily Hoskin, and David, Tristan and Devon Pope.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, and his wife, Margaret David.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army Citadel Corp.

Braman Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

VISITATION Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 4-8pm with family present after 6pm all at Braman Mortuary, 72 St. Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICE 10:30am Friday, March 18, 2011 at Salvation Army Citadel 923 N. 38th St. Interment Blair Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials in Lyle’s name may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel Corp.
