Funeral services for Sidney Haswell, age 45 of Blair, who died August 30, 1990 at Memorial Community Hospital were Saturday, September 1, at the Congregational Church. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Sidney L. Haswell was born on May 14, 1945 at Flint, Michigan to Richard Haswell and Katherine Leonard. He attended elementary school in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1963.

He married Carla Moore on July 5, 1963 in Blair, Nebraska. He worked for Nebraska Engineering and more recently for Control Services as a master electrician.

He was a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles and Congregational Church.

He is survived by his wife Carla; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Toni Haswell, Oakland, Nebraska; two daughters, Robin Mathiesen and Carolynn Haswell, both of Blair; three grandchildren, Matthew and Victoria Haswell, Autumn Rose Casey; mother and stepfather, Katherine and Paul Topf, Blair; father and stepmother, Richard (Dick) and Lorena Haswell, Lyons, Nebraska; grandmothers, Edna Haswell, Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother Wade Haswell, Oakland, Nebraska and one sister, Shannon Ruschmann, Conoga Park, California.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
