Barbara M. Hawkins, 78, of Omaha, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday Feb. 12, at the funeral home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Barbara M. Hawkins was born May 22, 1927, in Omaha to Louis and Alice Davis.

She was married to Jimmy J. Hawkins, who survives her. Other survivors are her son, Michael Knapp of Omaha; daughter, Kristin Curzon of Tulsa, Okla.; one granddaughter; sister, Kay Grogan of Littleton, Colo.; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lora Lee Fleming.
