Paul E. Haynie, 82, of Kennard, died Friday, March 3, 2000, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Services were Monday, March 6, 2000, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

Paul E. Haynie was born Oct. 16, 1917, to Jess and Bessie (Moore) Haynie, in Gretna.

On June 14, 1946, he married Vivian Johanson in Omaha. He worked as a bricklayer for Hagen Construction in Omaha and also died private contracting. He was a member of the Omaha Bricklayers Union.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to auction sales.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Jeff Nicola of Kennard, Kathy and Bob Niemann of Underwood, Iowa and Lisa and Chuck Burris of Arlington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Wendy Haynie of Jacksonville, Fla. And John and Betty Haynie of Herman; two brothers, Elmer (Curly) Haynie of Fort Calhoun and Don Haynie; one sister, Hazel Perkins of Topeka, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, who died in 1992; two brothers and three sisters.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
