James W. Lydick, age 47, of Tekamah, died on Sunday, September 3, 1989 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Jim was born on August 26, 1942 at Omaha, Nebraska to James William and Bernice Elizabeth (Palmer) Lydick. He attended school at Arizona Center Grade School and graduated from the Tekamah High School. Jim attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for a year and then returned home to farm.

He liked working with both cattle and horses, and spent several years in the rodeo circuit. Jim spent the last few years in the trucking business.

He married in 1962. Three sons were born to that marriage. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church at tekamah.

Survivors include three sons, Eugene W. and his wife, Kim Lydick of Omaha, Jake W. Lydick of Atlanta, Georgia and Lance Lin Lydick of Tekamah; one sister, Sheila (Mrs. Ronald) Anderson of Tekamah; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Wednesday, September 6 at the First Presbyterian church in Tekamah with Rev. Thomsa e. Robson officiating. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
